Which error correction level? The higher it is, the more the code tolerates dirt, folds or partial masking — but the denser it becomes. “Medium” suits almost everything. Go “High” for something that lives on a table.

Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no limit. The codes carry no watermark and belong to you: you can print them and use them commercially.
Does the QR code expire?
No. A code generated here is static: it contains your link or text directly, without any redirection service. It will keep working as long as the page it points to exists.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not with a static QR: the link is baked into the drawing. To change the destination without reprinting you need a dynamic QR — that is what QRMENUPRO does for restaurant menus, where the dishes change but the printed code stays.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The code is computed by your browser, on your device. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
What print size scans reliably?
Allow at least 2.5 cm across for arm's-length reading, and 1 cm more for every extra 30 cm of distance. Always keep a white margin around the code: it is part of the QR, and readers fail without it.
